  9.  Hi all!! This is the FINAL version of The Revenge Pack(unless there are
  10.  bugs...) -- YES!
  11.  This version got everything, because I can't think of anything else I can
  12.  add...
  13.  This version got only one feature more than the last v3 Revenge
  14.  Pack(v3.21SP1), but the change is huge...
  15.  
  16.  The Revenge Pack II is configured by the avenger, and installed by the
  17.  victim(use it if you don't have physical access to the computer. If you do,
  18.  you'd rather use The Revenge Pack I).
  19.  Well... as usual, I'll start with the prank list...
  20.  
  21. This version contains 18 pranks:
  22.  
  23. - Random Beep:
  24.    PC-Speaker beep, at random... just once in a while...
  25.    (might not work with all computers...)
  26.  
  27. - Background on Top:
  28.    The Revenge Pack will load the desktop bitmap on top of everything.
  29.    There will be no taskbar, desktop icons, or other programs visible.
  30.    Ctrl-ESC, Alt-Tab and Ctrl-Alt-Del menus will be disabled as well.
  31.    How to get rid of it? Either wait(random timer), or click the top-left
  32.    corner of the screen.

  34. - Real-time Swap Mouse Buttons:
  35.    The Revenge Pack will swap the mouse buttons(left-right...)
  36.    The Uninstaller restores the old mouse configuration(the one before
  37.    you had The Revenge Pack loaded).

  39. - Close applications at random:
  40.    The Revenge Pack can send Alt-F4 to programs, and after that 'Y' and
  41.    Enter(to save work).
  42.    On Windows 95(maybe on NT too... Don't have it to check), it can also
  43.    shutdown windows(if your focus is on the taskbar/desktop).

  45. - Open common windows dialogs:
  46.    Opens "Save As", "Color" and "Open" dialogs at random.
  47.  
  48. - Disable the Taskbar:
  49.    The Revenge Pack can disable the taskbar, and make it invisible for
  50.    a while(and then enables it again...)
  51.  
  52. - Shutdown Windows:
  53.    The Revenge Pack can use Windows' function to shut it down.
  54.    If a program in which the work hasn't been saved is loaded, it will
  55.    ask the user to save work(and then shutdown can be canceled).

  57. - Random error messages:
  58.    Currently 22 error messages.
  59.    Real error messages(no real error occurs) taken from Windows "Error
  60.    database" =)
  61.  
  62. - Random funny messages:
  63.    Currently 51 funny messages.
  64.    Messages like "User IQ not found." etc.

  66. - Run applications at random:
  67.    The Revenge Pack will, once in a while, run a program from drive c:.
  68.    (EXE files only).

  70. - Write Stuff in NotePad:
  71.    This will also happen only once in a Windows session.
  72.    The Revenge Pack will writes one out of three messages in notepad and
  73.    threaten to save it as windows\Sucks!

  75. - Open and close CD Drive(aka coffee cup) at random:
  76.    CD Drive will be opened and immediately closed at random(twice every time)
  77.  
  78. - Set clipboard text every minute:
  79.    Clipboard text will be set every minute, to a string you type(it can also
  80.    be deleted everytime). Then, after someone copies some words in Word for
  81.    example, and tries to paste it, he'll get your string.

  83. - Change background picture to a Llama picture:
  84.    Once in a session prank.
  85.    (The picture is in systry.exe and can be ripped using MRIP).
  86.  
  87. - Swap start menu shortcuts:
  88.    Swaps shortcuts so (for instance), the shortcut that says "Microsoft Word"
  89.    will point to "Norton Disk Doctor" and vice versa. (nothing is deleted,
  90.    and when TRP is uninstalled, your old shortcuts will be restored).
  91.    Errors might occur if shortcuts that have been swapped were deleted by
  92.    user.

  94. - Mouse accelerator
  95.    Reversed "Mouse motion reverse".
  96.    It Makes the mouse move faster(speed calculated by the speed you move the
  97.    mouse). It's not like changing motion speed in the control panel, because
  98.    it's not about speed, but acceleration. If you stop moving the mouse
  99.    cursor, it'll take some time to stop the cursor.
  100.    (Occurs for one minute every time the prank is run).

  102. - Plays with NumLock/CapsLock/ScrollLock
  103.    Once in a while one of the locks will be turned on or off (XORed state)
  104.    and sometimes they'll all turn on and off randomally every 0.2 second for
  105.    10 seconds... =)
  106.  
  107. - Load Control Panels at random
  108.    Just like "Run Applications", but for Control Panels(which aren't
  109.    real executables).

  113. Installation guide:
  114.  
  115.  Start configrp.exe, and check/uncheck whatever you want on/off...
  116.  (To change the clipboard text, disable and enable).
  117.  When you're done, click "Exit & Save", which will save a file named
  118.  setup32.ini in configrp.exe's directory.
  119.  Now you can add files to make the pack you're gonna send that person look
  120.  real, or not - it doesnt really matter...
  121.  Anyhow, you have to send the "victim" these 3 files:
  122.   setup.exe
  123.   setup32.ini (that you created with configrp.exe)
  124.   data.z
  125.  Compress them all and send the person this "surprise pack".
  126.  (Be creative, tell them it's a cool Loupe or something they wanted for a
  127.  really long time, etc.)

  129.  When that person runs Setup, the Revenge Pack is installed immediatly, and
  130.  a message is displayed: "Unable to read setup32.ini" (this will be displayed
  131.  in a case of an error too). When s/he restarts the computer, the fun begins!

  135. Known bugs:
  136.  
  137.   None!!! (is that a good sign?!?!) =P
  138.   This version works under all 32bit versions of Windows(not including
  139.   Win32s).

  141.   TRP needs VB5 runtimes. If you don't have them, get them here:

  153.  Don't forget to "hide"(or put the uninstaller only on your computer) the
  154.  uninstaller because It'll be stupid if everybody will be able to uninstall
  155.  The Revenge Pack.

  183.     - Only one instance can be run at the same time now(so there will
  184.       never be share errors).
  185.     - TRP now uses a timer array instead of 5 different timers(faster to load
  186.       and smaller).
  187.     - New routines for Run App at random and Swap shortcuts(same one used
  188.       in new feature - Random Controls as well).
  189.     - Finally fixed TRP's error messages(the real ones, where trp couldnt
  190.       load... they were in loop since version 1.0 beta.. hehehe).
  191.     - New concept used in random messages/errors... faster and smaller...
  192.     - Reduced size in 16kb(lots of code optimization... also reduced
  193.       llama pic's data size, while there's almost no difference between
  194.       the new pic and the old one)!!!
  195.   - ConfigRp(The Revenge Pack configuration file):
  196.     - A whole new concept been used! control array instead of lotsa stupid
  197.       controls.
  198.     - Reduced size in 7kb while increasing speed!!
  199.   - Uninstrp(The Revenge Pack uninstaller):
  200.     - Shuts down The Revenge pack prior to uninstalling, or asks you to
  201.       close it, before it trys to restore configuration(because if TRP is
  202.       running, while the uninstaller works, there might be some sharing
  203.       problems, although they're very rare...)
  204.     - Uninstalls new feature as well.
  205.   - Setup(The Revenge Pack setup file):
  206.     - Reduced size in 1kb.
  207.   - Changes in all files:
  208.     - Tons and tons of code optimization.
  209.     - Added tons of rem lines(code will probably be released to the public
  210.       domain in mid 1999)
